Big Ben Print UK | Vintage Botanical London Landmark

PLATE 22 — Big Ben & The Palace of Westminster. The Great Bell has kept time since 1859. The Elizabeth Tower rises in the Gothic Revival style alongside the Thames — the single most recognisable image of London worldwide. Botanical companions are quintessentially British: Cabbage Rose (Rosa centifolia), Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea), Sweet William, Primrose and Columbine — the wildflowers and cottage garden plants of the English landscape. Labels: clock face, great bell, clock tower, spire, palace. The London note: time, stone and flower beds meet in the visual language of the old city. This print is produced in London — at Camden Market, NW1 — making it the only London landmark print that is also a London product.
