A legendary minimalist poster celebrating Wilt Chamberlain — the most statistically dominant player in NBA history by numbers that are so extreme they have never been approached in over sixty years. On 2 March 1962, Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in a single game for the Philadelphia Warriors against the New York Knicks in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In the 1961-62 season, he averaged 50.4 points per game across an entire season — a record so absurd that it is difficult to contextualise. Seven foot one. 275 pounds. He led the league in rebounding eleven times. He was the first player to score 30,000 career points.
The fact that his team won 'only' two championships is the asterisk his legacy has always carried — and the measure of how truly extraordinary Bill Russell's Celtics were to contain him.
