Creating a custom poster or print can transform a simple wall into a heartfelt gallery of memories, passions and individuality. At 98 Types, we offer endless ways to personalise your space or gift someone you care about with designs that mean something — prints that are about that specific film, that exact song, that particular place. The three gifts in this guide are the ones that land differently from a candle or a gift card. They show thought. They show you paid attention. And they start from £3.

Imagine walking into your living room on Christmas morning and seeing a poster that perfectly captures the film you love most — your actual favourite, not a generic movie print someone grabbed at the last minute. At 98types, we let you request your own film poster — any film from any era, in a minimalist contemporary style that works beautifully as genuine wall art.

The custom movie poster service covers everything: classic film noirs in mid-century modern style, beloved family films that have been watched every Christmas for twenty years, cult favourites that only make sense if you know the person well, contemporary blockbusters and golden-age Hollywood masterpieces. If a film exists, we can make a poster for it.

🎄 Christmas Movie Posters — Our Confirmed Collection

Beyond the fully custom service, 98types has a dedicated Christmas Films collection with ready-made posters for the most beloved festive films. Whether it's the gothic stop-motion magic of Tim Burton's darkest Christmas film, the slapstick joy of Kevin McCallister defending his house, or any of the other classics in the collection, these prints make the perfect Christmas gift for any film lover.

Film buffs who appreciate the craft of cinema want a poster that treats their favourite film as the serious art object it is — not a novelty shop print, but a genuinely designed piece of wall art with the visual confidence of a real cinema release. The 98types custom movie poster service delivers exactly that.

Home decorators who want their personality on their walls, not just generic abstract art from a furniture store. A custom film poster in the living room creates the kind of conversation starter that makes a space feel genuinely inhabited.

Christmas film devotees who watch the same films every December without fail — people for whom Home Alone is a non-negotiable part of the festive calendar, or who consider The Muppet Christmas Carol the high point of the entire festive season. A poster of their Christmas film is a deeply personal gift that says you know exactly who they are.

Music has a way of encapsulating emotions and memories like nothing else. A song lyric print takes that power and makes it permanent — turning the song that played at your wedding, the lullaby you sang to your children, or the Christmas anthem your family shouts along to every December, into a piece of wall art that lives in your home every day of the year.

At 98types, the custom song lyrics print service lets you choose any song by any artist — literally any song that exists — and turn its lyrics into a beautifully designed poster. The typography, colour palette and layout are all designed to complement the emotional register of the song. A rolling, melancholy ballad gets a different treatment from an energetic anthem. The result is art that feels deeply personal because it is.

🎄 UK's Top Christmas Songs as Lyric Prints

The 98types song lyrics collection covers hundreds of songs across every genre — and at Christmas, that includes the festive classics that define the British December. Whether it's the UK's all-time favourite Christmas song or the one your family fights over every year, a lyric print of it makes a genuinely memorable gift. Below are the UK's top Christmas songs — all available as custom lyric prints through the 98types personalised service.

🎵 Why Lyric Prints Work So Well As Christmas Gifts

Song lyric prints occupy a sweet spot that very few other gifts can reach. They are simultaneously personal — because you chose a specific song — and universally appealing, because music is a language everyone speaks. They work as wall art in every room. They age beautifully, because the song doesn't go out of style. And they communicate something that most other gifts can't: I know what music means to you, and I know which song is yours.

For couples, the wedding song as a lyric print is one of the most consistent gift-giving hits in the 98types collection — ordered for anniversaries, for Valentine's Day, and increasingly for Christmas. For parents, a lyric print of the song they sang to their children creates a piece of wall art that means something specific to every person who grew up in that house. For friends, a print of the song that defined a summer or a shared experience is a memory made permanent.

Every important moment in a person's life happened somewhere. A relationship began at a specific corner of a specific city. A childhood was spent in a particular neighbourhood. A proposal happened on a bridge with a name. A new chapter started when someone arrived in a place they'd never been before. The custom street map print service at 98types turns any of those places into beautiful, permanent wall art.

Input any location — any street, neighbourhood, city or town anywhere in the world — and 98types creates a detailed, beautifully designed street map print of that exact place. Modern and classic design options, available from A6 to A3, printed on museum-grade 260gsm satin paper. A print that says: this place matters. It matters because something happened here, or because someone you love was born here, or because it is where your story began.

🗺️ Who Custom Street Map Prints Are Perfect For

Couples — celebrate the spot where you met, where you got engaged, or where you said "I do." A street map print of that exact location is the kind of anniversary or Christmas gift that gets pointed at and explained to every visitor the home ever has. It becomes part of the story of the relationship.

Families — a map of the family's hometown, or the place where everyone grew up before they scattered. A custom map print of the family home's neighbourhood is one of the most emotionally resonant gifts you can give a parent at Christmas. It says: we know where we're from.

New homeowners — a custom map of their new neighbourhood is the perfect housewarming gift. It arrives at a moment when the new place is still slightly unfamiliar and is instantly meaningful. Even better at Christmas, when a new home needs to feel established and personal.

Travel lovers — a map print of the destination they love most, the city they visit every year, the corner of the world that feels like home even though it isn't. For people who collect places, a map print of their favourite one is the ideal gift.

Beyond the top three, 98types has one more Christmas gift that consistently outperforms expectations: the Family Definition Print. This is the gift that gets the family definition — their shared character, their specific qualities, the things that make this particular family uniquely theirs — and turns it into a beautiful typographic print.

Giving a personalised poster as a gift for a family is like gifting a piece of their collective identity. It celebrates their shared experiences, their history, the things they always do and the things they always argue about — and it makes all of it visible on their wall. A family definition print is consistently one of the most-gifted 98types products at Christmas, and for good reason: it works for families of any shape, size and age.

💛 Family Definition Print — Celebrate Your Collective Identity

💛 Family Gift🎄 Christmas Classic🏠 Any Family💕 Most Gifted

Define your family in print. The Family Definition Print captures the specific character of a family — their shared qualities, inside jokes, values and identity — in a beautifully designed typographic format. It's the gift that makes every person in the family feel seen simultaneously, which is a genuinely rare achievement in Christmas gifting. Works for every family type: parents, blended families, new families, extended clans. The perfect print to hang in the hallway or living room where everyone who enters will read it and know exactly who lives here.

Custom posters aren't just gifts — they're powerful decor pieces that bring personality and life into any room. At Christmas especially, the right print on the right wall can transform a space from generically decorated to genuinely personal. Here is where each type of print works best.

🎬 Mid-Century Modern Film Posters

The mid-century modern aesthetic — clean lines, bold typography, confident use of a limited colour palette — remains one of the most popular styles for custom film posters at 98types. It gives any film, from a 1940s noir to a 2010s blockbuster, a visual authority that generic poster designs can't match. This style works particularly well for Christmas film posters because the warm tones and graphic clarity create something that looks deliberately chosen rather than nostalgically kitsch.

🎵 Minimalist Song Lyric Prints

The minimalist lyric print — the one that lets the words breathe, uses white space deliberately, and keeps the typography clean and readable — is the most consistently popular lyric print style at 98types. It suits every room and every interior style precisely because it doesn't compete with existing decor. The song does the emotional work; the design just holds it elegantly.

🗺️ Contemporary Map Prints

The clean, contemporary street map style — black and white, or a single accent colour — works in any modern home and suits every type of location from a major capital city to a small coastal town. It is the style that makes a map look like art rather than cartography, which is exactly the quality you want in a gift print.
